Within the production plant, Electrolux Professional aimed to strengthen its approach to continuous improvement, transforming ideas, suggestions and operational initiatives into a structured, monitorable and shared flow. The goal was clear: to centralize the management of improvement activities within a single digital platform, so as to avoid the dispersion of information, guarantee traceability and always have the progress of the actions under control.
This vision is guided by the WCM® (World Class Manufacturing) model, a production philosophy adopted by Electrolux Professional that places the customer at the center and is based on a pull logic, continuous flow production and reduced delivery times. The focus is on optimizing performance through waste reduction, continuous quality improvement and process efficiency. In this context, equipping ourselves with a digital tool to support WCM meant taking a decisive step forward in the direction of a more agile, responsive and operationally excellent factory.
For Electrolux Professional, we have developed a Kaizen Management Platform, an advanced digital platform designed to efficiently manage continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities, specifically oriented to companies adopting the lean thinking philosophy or the WCM® (World Class Manufacturing) model.
This platform is multilingual, cloud and web-based, with a highly customizable structure to adapt to the needs of each plant and department. It allows you to configure up to four different views: for the entire plant, for departments, for production lines and for individual workstations, ensuring capillary and accessible control over every aspect of the production process.
Each user has the ability to create a personalized Home Page, which collects all the Kaizen activities in which they participate and displays their progress. This allows for constant and detailed monitoring, facilitating interaction and involvement of teams in the various stages of improvement. In addition, the platform allows you to attach images, documents and other useful resources, and to build personalized dashboards, connecting directly to the company database to collect and display data in real time.
An additional added value is the ability to monitor employee participation and involvement, with specific reports that allow you to analyze who is contributing most to the introduction of improvements. This feature can be linked to a system of rewards and incentives, creating a virtuous cycle that stimulates and rewards continuous commitment to process optimization. In this way, the company is always able to measure and reward the most significant contributions, encouraging constant improvement at all levels.
The adoption of the Kaizen Management Platform has led to significant results for Electrolux Professional, optimizing the continuous improvement process in various areas:
Centralization of improvement projects: The platform allowed to collect and manage all improvement projects in a centralized way, with a clear view of the costs/benefits related to each project. This provided managers with an objective data base to make more informed and targeted decisions, with a clear view of the economic and operational impacts of the initiatives.
