SCROLL
Improve certification management by consolidating all documentation in a single platform, making it easily accessible for internal audits.
Optimize workforce planning on the factory floor to always know who is scheduled to perform a specific task and who is actually present, allowing you to promptly cover any absences.
Improve safety management in the company by recording medical visits and health status in a system, ensuring that this information is always easily accessible.
Encourage staff rotation on the factory floor across different workstations to promote the development of new skills and reduce task repetitiveness.
We have implemented the AWMS workforce management software, to offer faster and smarter, but above all digitalized, management of the skill matrix and certifications.
AWMS has allowed us to provide a well-defined structure and processes to the management of certifications, making it easier to find documentation and pass controls in the company.
AWMS enables smart people planning taking into account skills, physical limitations, certifications and availability.
Thanks to the integration with the clocking system, it is possible to know which employees have shown up for work and which are unexpectedly absent, and to automatically and quickly re-plan resources to identify substitutes equally capable of the job.
AWMS has also improved safety management in the company, thanks to the dedicated module. All information relating to the health status of employees, physical limitations and medical visit deadlines are integrated into the system so that they are always available to HR and are taken into account when planning employees.
We introduced the use of AWMS, implementing a particular algorithm for measuring the OKRA level of a workstation. The OKRA level determines how repetitive and tiring a station is for the operator. The AWMS automatic scheduling system, therefore, takes into account the OKRA level of each machine in the rotation of the workers, so that an operator is not assigned twice in a row to a station with a high OKRA level (equivalent to highly repetitive and physical work). In this way, the plant is able to ensure balance and fairness in the rotation of the workers, as well as greater employee well-being.
With the implementation of the AWMS software, the Danfoss plant in Bologna was able to optimize factory personnel scheduling and manage both certifications (upcoming expirations, renewals, training progress) and safety (physical limitations, medical certificate renewals). In this way, those managing the resources can schedule shifts with greater awareness and full compliance, taking into account both the skills acquired and the health status of the operators.
The Reggio Emilia plant, on the other hand, thanks to AWMS, is now able to optimally balance the work of employees by alternating more strenuous and repetitive tasks with lighter ones. This ensures rotation between different stations, promotes the acquisition of new skills, and guarantees greater well-being among the workers.
